I am originally from Dublin, Ireland and I am the Owner/Creative Director of Brian Joseph Studios. We are a leading and award winning web development and design, logo design / branding and search engine marketing company located in Fort Myers, Florida.

As a kid I loved art and sketch drawing was one of my favorite things to do.

As I grew up, and as computers became more prominent in our everyday lifestyle, I put the pencils and the charcoal to the side, and picked up the mouse, keyboard, and drawing tablet to create digital art. I studied Art, Design and Art History in school, and soon I dived into programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Flash. I also learned a lot about audio editing software as a kid and enjoyed working as a production engineer and on air presenter on a radio station in Ireland during college.

I went to University College Dublin (UCD) and it is during this time that I really felt the entrepreneurial bug…..I had a lot of ideas during Uni and I soon started to implement a few of the more feasable ones. We started a thrift store / clothing stall on campus that was a great success, and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to control how success is achieved in an idea. I was also manager of the college radio station, Belfield FM, (Belfield is the name of the campus) and I successfully acquired large sponsorship contracts with various companies like Microsoft, and Coca Cola.

Soon, I started freelancing and designing logos and websites for friends and families. I started to learn Microsoft Frontpage (yuk - thanks to Adobe Dreamweaver for taking me away from this terrible Microsoft product!) and found that creating websites was a really rewarding experience. To this day, it is still so much fun to design a website from scratch, write all the necessary code for all of the functions and logic, and then it is complete; A fully funcitoning interface with tools that allow for user interactivity. When the leads start coming in to our clients from their new websites, I know why I am in this business. To have the ability to create something that will make another company more successful is a great way to spend your working life each day.

So, here I am in Florida now, bulding a great team of designers and programmers for Brian Joseph Studios, and having an amazing time doing it. The company has grown so quickly, and it is down to a lot of hard work on our part, and a lot of loyal and professional clients around United States and Europe.

On a more personal level, I am 25 years old and I live with my girlfriend in Florida, USA. I’ve got a great dog named Brewster (I adopted him from a foster program that saves dogs on “the put to sleep list”, so I didn’t get to name him unfortunately (I would have named him “Giggsy” if I had the chance! My girlfriend says she likes that name oddly enough! maybe one day…..haha)

Outside of work, I enjoy playing football (soccer) every Sunday morning, networking and meeting new people in the area, hanging out with Jenni and Brewster, having dinner and drinks with friends, golfing and getting out on the water for some sun, boating and fishing.
